Welcome to the USF OSHA Training Institute Education Center!

The University of South Florida OSHA Training Institute Education Center (USF OTIEC), based in Florida’s Tampa Bay Area, is a nonprofit organization authorized by OSHA to deliver occupational safety and health training for workers, supervisors, and employers in both the private and public sectors. USF OTIEC delivers OSHA's safety and health courses in Construction, Maritime, Disaster Site, and General Industries throughout OSHA’s Atlanta Region — which includes Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina — as well as at employer workplaces and jobsites within OSHA’s geographic jurisdiction.

USF OTIEC instructors are industry safety and health professionals who bring the latest information, experience, and learning techniques to the active-learning classroom and instructor-led virtual conference training. USF OTIEC instructors incorporate real-world experience into instruction, workshops, and hands-on learning exercises.

We'll work with you to assess your workplace, identify risks, and adapt the curriculum to align with your safety compliance goals and industry standards.
  2. Flexible scheduling that fits your operation. Choose the training schedule that works best for your team. We deliver courses at your facility or job site, minimizing disruption and ensuring your employees receive high-quality instruction at a convenient time.
  3. Reduced employee travel and downtime. We come to you, so there's no need to send staff off-site or pay for travel. On-site training keeps your team productive while ensuring everyone receives consistent, expert-led safety instruction.
  4. Cost-effective group training. Save money with group-based OSHA training. The average cost per participant decreases substantially when you host training at your own location, providing a budget-friendly way to meet OSHA requirements and build a safer workplace.
  5. Team learning that strengthens workplace culture. When teams learn together, they succeed together. On-site training encourages collaboration, reinforces safety culture, and improves knowledge transfer across departments.
