Starlin Martin, CIH – Adjunct Instructor

Mr. Martin Starlin, CIH retired from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) where he worked as a Certified Industrial Hygienist for 31 years conducting safety and health compliance inspections.  Prior to working for OSHA Mr. Martin worked  for the Hillsborough County Health Department where he worked as the Emergency Medical  Service  Coordinator responsible for monitoring  the equipment and personnel training for emergency medical service providers for compliance with federal  specifications and requirements.   Mr. Martin served four years in the Army as a medic where he worked as an emergency room clinical specialist.

Since retiring from OSHA, Mr. Martin has worked as a consultant for lead based paint hazards assessment in residential housing and Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) disaster housing inspection for safe and sanitary occupancy determination.

Mr. Martin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Florida Memorial College and a Masters of Art degree from The University of South Florida. Mr. Martin is also a licensed Certified Residential Contractor and an EPA Certified Lead Base Paint Hazard Risk Assessor as well as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
